We are here to help you in choosing future home improvements and from getting behind with maintenance matters at your Suffolk or Essex property.

Our virtual appointment service enables us to supply an accurate quotation so that you will have the costs involved at your fingertips already, should you require the home improvement to be made.

Here’s how the Falcon Windows Virtual Appointment system works:

Please click on the Falcon Windows document to the right of this text to download full details of our virtual appointment appraisal and information form. This includes details about what information we need from you and forms to help you log them clearly.  

Virtual Appointment - Windows & Doors Installation

  • Take a photo of the external elevation(s) of the property that you require a quotation on.
    If your house was built before 1940, please take a photo of the inside of one of the windows.
    (This is so we can see whether box sash removal etc is required.)
  • For the sizing of windows which you require replacing, the form on the downloadable document will guide you.
    Please don’t worry about dimensions not being too accurate - we would take our own surveyed sizes, if the project progresses to an order.
    Please note down:
    • Approximate sizes (width, height)
    • Their locations
    • Whether obscured glass is required
  • List down any specific requirements. You will find details and examples in the pages of this website to help you, but we will be happy to talk things through.
    Here are some examples of specific details required:
    • Decorative lead work
    • Decorative glazing bars (Georgian or Astragal)
    • Sash style: Flush sash style or standard storm casement windows
    • PVC-u or aluminium frames
    • High security specification
    • Handle colour (polished chrome/ satin chrome/ polished gold/ black/ white)
    • Different layouts/ openings to existing windows and how may openings you require per window
    • Preferred colour: some options are shown in the downloadable document. Standard white is not shown, but it is smooth and not woodgrain effect.
    • Let us know if your property is in a conservation area or if the property is listed.

    Virtual Appointment - Roofline & Cladding Installation

    • Take a photo of the external elevation(s) of the property that you require a quotation on.
      Please try to ensure that the ground is also visible, so we can tell if conservatories need to be bridged etc when it comes to scaffolding requirements.
    • Specify colours of fascias, soffits, cladding, guttering required

    Virtual Appointment - Conservatories Installation

    • Take a photo of the area of the property where the conservatory is intended to be sited
    • For the design and installation planning of the conservatory, note down:
      • Approximate size of proposed structure
      • Site access details – paths, gates; terraced, semi-or detached property
      • Whether there have been previous extensions at the property.
        (This may have a bearing on the planning permissions required.)
      • If brickwork around the lower section required, or floor-to-ceiling glass
      • Whether a full-height wall where the structure faces a boundary is required
      • Roof prefeence - polycarbonate/ glass/ lightweight tiled roof
      • Whether internal plastering is required
      • If there are any electrical requirements
      • Whether you would like us to arrange heating
      • Whether you would like the thermal barrier removed between the house and the Conservatory.
        (This will have implication on Building Regulations and therefore the cost.)
      • Colour of frames required for the windows and doors

    Your Quotation from a Virtual Appointment with Falcon Windows

    If you are happy to supply Falcon Windows with the required information to process your enquiry, as well as an approximate geographical location, we will be able to supply you with an accurate quotation for any of these products, accompanied by CAD drawings in some instances as appropriate.

    In all cases, we will aim to return a quotation within two working days. If there are relevant brochures which are not already downloadable from this website, we which we can email to you with your quotation, we will do so.
