The Falcon Group was established in 1984 in Ipswich, Suffolk by enterprising local glazier, Eamon Sheppard.
Originally specialists in manufacturing high quality double-glazed sealed units to builders and self-build properties, Falcon Ipswich spread its wings just three years later, to serve Suffolk and north Essex with the installation of first class and competitively priced Windows and Doors.
And it wasn't long before a growing demand for high quality plastic polyvinyl chloride or pvc-u products helped the family business soar to new heights.
Falcon Windows Ltd has now developed into a group of businesses which professionally service the home improvement market. These provide windows and doors, supply and install conservatories and energy-saving replacement roof technologies such as SupaLite Warm Roofs. They offer double glazing maintenance, and replacement glass services as well as roofline products including fascia and soffits, cladding, bargeboards and guttering .
Over more than 30 years in the double glazing and home improvement business, Falcon's highly motivated family team has developed itself an enviable reputation for the highest of installation standards in the Ipswich, Colchester, Suffolk and north Essex areas.
Offering a 10 year product warranty, it seeks to keep its business fairly local - within a 15 mile radius of its Ipswich HQ - to ensure the highest and most cost-effective level of after-sales care, but its impressive reputation means that it is periodically servicing enquiries further afield.
Falcon Ipswich continues to have an impressive track record of quality installations and a wide range of customer testimonials and Eamon Sheppard is still the ever-energetic and enterprising Managing Director of Falcon Windows to this day.
High standards in products, installation and personal service are our driving force - but then with a company name like Falcon, you'd expect us to reach for the skies.
At Falcon Windows we believe that any installation is only as good as the overall team which produces it. And that means every step of the way, from the taking the initial enquiry and advising on the products to surveying, and processing, all the way to the final installation.
We respect the skills and experience of each and every member of our team (well, Together Everybody Achieves More, don't they?) and value their contribution within our business. Our staff learn from the experience of Falcon's strong leadership and take pride in their work. They ultimately enjoy the challenges which each job brings and are motivated to deliver the best job possible for our customers. Our goal is to work together to train, reward and develop our staff in ways that acknowledge performance and individual abilities.
But you don't just need the right people to do the right job - having the right kit and tools are essential too. That's why we're meticulous in our procedures and planning, always ensuring a proper survey of all items to be installed. We've got a really relevant tongue-twister in the double-glazing trade - ''Proper prior-planning prevents poor performance.''
Managing Director of Falcon Windows Ltd, Eamon Sheppard, takes care to select all his installers personally. Each installer immediately starts an internal training programme, to win the specialist skills and knowledge demanded by Falcon to carry out a first class installation - and further develop their dedication to customer service and delivering client satisfaction.
Our teams are employed on a quality, not quantity, performance basis. So, you won't find our installers rushing any job. There's absolutely no incentive for speed, so we always achieve a quality finish.
What's more, each installation is only considered complete after a detailed inspection by the senior installer who will only be satisfied with the highest level of workmanship. As an integral part of his visit, he looks over the installation together with the customer, just to make sure that it is understood how the doors and windows operate and that they are 100% happy with work. Any snagging issues are noted on site and logged at the office, then resolved in due course by our service engineer.
At Falcon Windows we acknowledge and value the power of recommendation from our existing customers. So for us, it's only natural to offer excellent after-sales support, to keep in touch and ensure that you continue to be satisfied with your new installation. Offering a 10 year product warranty, also means that it is most important to be able to act on customer queries quickly and cost-effectively. To deliver this high level of after care, we've put the following systems in place:
Our relationships with our product suppliers - as with our customers - are based on a philosophy of mutual respect and joint benefit. Over the years, we have developed an excellent network of industry suppliers on whom we can rely to help deliver the best service at highly competitive prices.
At Falcon Windows, we build on what we do well. But we also work with our enterprising and innovative colleagues across the industry to stay abreast of new product developments such as warmcore aluminium technologies for loggias and orangeries and highly energy efficient SupaLite Replacement Warm Roofs. In this way, we can let you, the customer, consider contemporary and great new cost-saving products and ensure that you're getting the best available option for less.
At Falcon Windows we know that we're not the cheapest on the market, but we do deliver simply great value for money on quality products, installations and sustainable solutions for improving your home.
